Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey

Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey provides high quality, up to date cancer information and support for cancer patients, their families and carers.  They offer a quiet, confidential and welcoming environment where people can either make an appointment or drop in and access our free services.

Located at Suite 2.13, The Lido Medical Centre, St Saviour’s Road, just in front of the Hotel de France.  The building is accessible, there is free parking and serviced by the No. 21 bus from Liberation Station.

Cancer Information and Support Specialist offers:

  • Information, support and practical advice
  • An opportunity to ask questions about cancer, its treatments and side effects
  • A comprehensive range of literature, CD’s and DVD’s
  • An invitation to discuss radiotherapy treatment in the UK
  • Details of other local and national organisations and services

Support Worker and Counsellor offers:

  • Emotional Support, counselling and bereavement therapy
  • Help to make sense of your feelings and worries
  • Encouragement to cope with the uncertainties that cancer may bring
  • Help so that people can live their lives in a more satisfying and resourceful way

Also offers a Prostate Cancer Support Group and a Gynae Cancer Support Group which meet monthly.


Jersey Cancer Relief

To help those who are anxious about the financial cost of cancer

Patients will be visited and assessed. Financial assistance is available when needed. The charity helps patients and their families with a variety of costs, including doctor’s bills, medicines and dressings, heating bills, subscriptions to Family Nursing & Home Care and travel to the UK for treatment. In some cases this can include the cost of a relative travelling as support for the patient.

The Hospice provides specialist nursing care for patients with Cancer and Motor Neurone Disease, incorporating pain and symptom control, counselling, terminal care and family support. This package includes Home Care, Day Hospice, In-Patient Care and Bereavement Support. Funded entirely by voluntary contributions and legacies.

Jersey Hospice Care has extended and improved their Bereavement Service and now feel able to offer this service to include the wider island community.

Jersey Association of Cancer Nurses

An association for nurses who treat cancer patients to improve information, education and support for staff involved in treatment. Also aim to develop a resource centre for nurses.
