Bereavement Support

The following agencies can give bereavement support to individuals, families and schools:

Samaritans; Children’s Service; Child & Family Service; Victim Support; Community Police; Oakwell and Jersey Hospice.

Support in schools and educational establishments is available from:

  • Teachers
  • School-based counsellors
  • Educational Psychological Service
  • Well-being team

Catholic Pastoral Centre

Also, the Bereavement and Loss Support Group provides one to one meetings at the Catholic Pastoral Centre, 19 Val Plaisant, St Helier JE2 4TA. This service is available to all people in the community.

Community Bereavement Service

The Community Bereavement Service is available to adults and children of all ages in need of support, whilst coming to terms with the death of a relative or friend.  The Service will support anyone, regardless of the nature of the death.

Support after Murder and Manslaughter

Offers support and understanding to families and friends who have been bereaved as a result of murder and manslaughter through the mutual support of others who have suffered a similar tragedy.
