DBS Checks, criminal record checks

4.32.3.L4 Updated on:

How do you apply?

You can apply for a Basic DBS Check yourself on the Scottish Government website here.

What do you need?

You will need your personal details, Social Security number (to enter into the National Insurance number page), addresses from the last five years and passport or National ID card.

When asked if you hold a driving licence, select No as the form does not recognise Jersey driving licences.

The £25.00 fee must be paid by credit or debit card.

If your identity cannot be verified online, you will be given instructions to submit a copy of your photographic identification and proof of address by post or e-mail.

You will be given a reference number and usually receive your certificate within 14 days.
